ITU WTS Worlds. London, 2013

Dave Coleman

Dave started taking apart bicycles when he was six years old; he learned how to put them back together properly eight years later. Since 1997, Dave has been working in the bicycle shops in Alaska (Juneau and Anchorage) and California (Davis). Under the prodding from his friend and sensei, Dave attended a USA Cycling Race Mechanic regional course in Seattle, WA in 2005. Shortly after receiving his mechanics license, Dave began to turn wrenches at International Triathlon Union (ITU) races around the world.

In 2013, Dave started working with Triathlon Canada’s Olympic program. He began working with Triathlon Canada’s Paralympic program in 2015. Dave hung up his shop apron and started working exclusively with Triathlon Canada in 2019. A year later Dave dusted off his shop apron and started his own shop: Sleeping Lady Cycles. In 2024, Dave decided to let his passport accumulate dust for a while and turned his focus to Sleeping Lady Cycles.
